Heavy Rainfall Floods Saint Michaels Streets by Talbot County Emergency Services (DES) on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 7:36pm

The Saint Michaels Police and Fire Departments were busy this morning redirecting traffic and ensuring the safety of residents in the downtown Saint Michaels area... as Route 33 became flooded with an estimated 4 - 4.5 inches of rain which fell primarily in one hour...

Some flooding occurred to properties but most flooding was isolated to roadways... no one had to be evacuated....Waters receded and roads were opened by 1:03pm...

Good job to Chief Miguel (who was on scene) and the Saint Michaels Police Department and to the members of the Saint Michaels Volunteer Fire Department who serve their community well...
