General Information...Talbot County Council approves Talbot DES new Web Site... by Talbot County Emergency Services (DES) on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at 3:40pm

The Talbot County Council approved a bid award to construct a new web site for the Talbot County Department of Emergency Services.

The web site is being funded by grant funds and will feature a new look... To name a few.... the site will feature an area to post information regarding emerging threats, an educational area for adults and children, portals for the submission of hazardous materials data (Tier 2 Reports and Site Plans), as well as for first responder access to this data for planning and response.

Additionally, to enhance internal communication... staff will be able to submit forms and to monitor informational bulletin boards. In an effort to support our Volunteer Firefighters by reducing the time they have to remain on scene of false fire alarms, the site will allow for the online completion of false alarm reports which as appropriate be forwarded for enforcement...

Talbot DES is excited about this project and certainly recognizes today's Web Sites are yesterdays Store Fronts in interacting with the community... This project is designed to enhance internal efficiencies and broaden external communications to better serve the Talbot County community...
